Hello there!

I'm so glad you've stopped by :) I'm Rachel, a Tar Heel born & bred. From the mountains to the beach, I love every bit of North Carolina, however, I do love experiencing the world! I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a dual degree in public relations and Chinese. I am a huge advocate for doing what you love, so here I am living that out! Your story is so unique, and I want to make sure to capture every piece of joy that comes along with it! I believe there is always an excuse for a special occasion, so whether it's an engagement session, family reunion, or senior portraits, I would love to tag along (and maybe add a pose in here & there) while you get to spend time with the people you love!

Some things I love:

  • Jesus

  • Tea

  • Road Trips

  • Hikes

My Story

The only photos my parents took were of my high school field hockey games or my brother’s wrestling tournaments. My family never had family photoshoots, and the camera was only brought out on family vacation when we remembered.

When my mama fell ill, I asked her “how do you have so much joy when you’re in so much pain?”

She responded simply. “Babes, if my joy was in my circumstance, life would be hopeless. So I have chosen to set my faith in Jesus. I know I get to spend eternity with Him, and so I have eternal joy. All things are made beautiful in its own time.”

Well, all I pray is that I will be half as wise as my mama.

When the Lord called her home, I was reminded of how sweet God is for giving us undeserved loved ones and how fleeting time can be.

That’s when I saw the value in preserving snippets of life.

So here I am! A self-taught photographer who shares the same Eternal Joy as her mama.

I used to always look forward to the next big adventure, but now I see that there is no such thing as “mundane.” Each second of life is beautiful, and I pray to never wish away the moment that I’m in.

I would be honored to come alongside you + your loved ones and help you remember the happiness you have right here, right now.
